Athletes and active individuals often realize that the standard complement of physical therapy after an injury is not always enough to get them back to full speed and performing at previous levels. To address this issue the physicians at Connecticut Orthopaedic Specialists in concert with the rehabilitation experts at STAR (Sports Therapy and Rehabilitation), have introduced a sports conditioning and training program called STARPlus Power & Fitness. This unique six week course features two hours sessions on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays at both the Branford and Wallingford STAR locations. Led by licensed athletic trainers, all participants will get personalized care and treatment. “While the goal of STARPlus is to further strengthen athletes and active individuals after injuries, it’s equally important for them to be able to trust their bodies the way they did previously,” noted Diane Griffin, Director of STAR. “This program is comprehensive and will be a huge benefit to athletes and active individuals. We’re very excited to roll it out!”
Classes are starting November 4th, 2014 and will be forming regularly throughout all sports seasons. Call 203.483.2516 to sign-up.
